In this article you will come to know about the most often confused and complicated terms in web and app design i.e UX and UI. These two complated  terms can be often integrated and used as UI/ UX DESIGN.

At the end of this article you will get a clear picture of UI/UX DESIGN. Read on to  know what is UI DESIGN and  UX DESIGN, their differences,Benefits and  career options .

What is UI Design?

The term “UI” stands for “User Interface”. UI is the graphical layout of an application. The User Interface comprises of the buttons which users click on, the text they read, the images, sliders, text entry fields, and all the remained items with which  the user interacts. UI  incorporates screen layout, transitions, interface animations and every single micro-interaction. Any sort of visual element, interaction, or animation can be designed by UI designers.

UI designers  decide how the application seems to be and choose the  color schemes and shapes of the button, the width of lines and the fonts used for text accordingly. User Interface designers create the appearance and feel of an application’s UI. Graphic designers are known as the User Interface designers. UI designers are worried about the creativity and it’s their responsibility to make the user interface very beautiful and attractive and they need to confirm  every single visual element feels not only united and creative but also feels good in purpose.

What is UX Design?

“UX” stands for “User Experience”. User  Experience of the application is defined  by how well the user interacts with the application. User Experience is determined by how easy or difficult to interact with the user interface elements created by the UI designers .User Experience can be determined by, Whether  the experience is  trouble-free and inherent  or clumsy  and unclear ? Does navigating the app feel reasonable or feel unpredictable ? Does interacting with the application give people the sense that they’re efficiently fulfill the tasks they set out to reach the goals  or does it make a struggle?

UX designers are also worried with an application’s User Interface, and it’s the main reason which confuse people about the difference between the UI and  UX. UI designers are assigned with the decision of the interface appearance and UX designers are engaged with determining User Interface operations. UX designers determine the structure and the functionality of the interface and  how it’s organized and how all the parts relate to each other . In brief they design the working of the interface . If it works well and good  and if it is uninterruptable,  user will have a better  experience. If the  navigation is complex  or uncreative, it results in the terrible user experience. UX designers work to get rid of these scenarios.

Differences between UI and UX DESIGN

  • User interface design is a fully digital practice which regards all the visual, interactive elements of a product interface-comprising buttons, icons, spacing, typography, color schemes, and responsive design whereas User experience design is, in  theory, a non-digital (cognitive science) practice, but used and prescribed primarily by digital industries.
  • The goal of UI design is to visually guide the user through a product’s interface that is creating an inherent  experience that doesn’t need much logic to the user whereas UX design is not about visuals; it mainly  focuses on the overall feel of the experience.
  • UI design fetch  the brand’s strengths and visual benefits to a product’s interface, confirming  the design is compatible , logical, and creatively  agreeable wheras User Experience design is the process of developing and improving the quality of interaction between a user and all aspects of a company.
